PDC Home Tour Week Four

Predictions

Group 18 - Monday 4th May

The fourth week of Darts action begins with Stephen Bunting, whose biggest challenger in group 18 will be Kim Huybrechts both players will be looking to win their first PDC tournament and boost their reputation going into the bigger tournaments. Nathan Derry could prove to be a test for the two big-name players and is ranked 95th in the world. However, Huybrechts could be the best money bet here.

Stephen Bunting v Harald Leitinger - Bunting to win: 2/7

Kim Huybrechts v Nathan Derry - Huybrechts to win: 5/12

Harald Leitinger v Nathan Derry - Derry to win: 20/23

Stephen Bunting v Kim Huybrechts - Bunting to win: 10/17

Kim Huybrechts v Harald Leitinger - Huybrechts to win: 5/12

Nathan Derry v Stephen Bunting - Bunting to win: 2/7

Group 18 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Stephen Bunting | 5-4 | Harald Leitinger | Won | | 2 | Kim Huybrechts | 5-2 | Nathan Derry | Won | | 3 | Harald Leitinger | 5-0 | Nathan Derry | Loss | | 4 | Stephen Bunting | 5-1 | Kim Huybrechts | Won | | 5 | Kim Huybrechts | 5-1 | Harald Leitinger | Won | | 6 | Stephen Bunting | 5-1 | Nathan Derry | Won |

We almost picked up a clean sweep of predictions in group 18 barring a horrific prediction in Harald Leitingers match against Nathan Derry. It is surreal how many times we’ve gotten 5 correct predictions and narrowly missed out but the Austrian’s demolition job eases the blow here.

Group 19 - Tuesday 5th May

The second night of darts action contains Glen Durrant who was top of the Premier League when the league was unfortunately stopped. Can he continue his form into the PDC Home Tour? Justin Pipe will be his biggest competitors but Vincent Van Der Meer and Maik Kuivenhoven are both capable of causing an upset. However, Durrant should be strong enough to claim victory in group 19.

Glen Durrant v Vincent van der Meer - Durrant to win: 10/31

Justin Pipe v Maik Kuivenhoven - Pipe to win: 5/7

Vincent van der Meer v Maik Kuivenhoven Kuivenhoven to win: 20/23

Glen Durrant v Justin Pipe - Durrant to win: 10/23

Justin Pipe v Vincent van der Meer - Pipe to win: 20/33

Maik Kuivenhoven v Glen Durrant - Durrant to win: 5/14

Group 19 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Glen Durrant | 5-1 | Vincent van der Meer | Won | | 2 | Justin Pipe | 5-1 | Maik Kuivenhoven | Won | | 3 | Maik Kuivenhoven | 5-1 | Vincent van der Meer | Won | | 4 | Glen Durrant | 5-3 | Justin Pipe | Won | | 5 | Justin Pipe | 5-2 | Vincent van der Meer | Won | | 6 | Glen Durrant | 5-3 | Maik Kuivenhoven | Won |

Finally! After a long time of trying and a number of 5/1 predictions, we have our first clean sweep of the tournament. Although there were no surprises in this group, 6 wins out of 6 make group 19 a perfect group!

Group 20 - Wednesday 6th May

After Jeffrey De Zwaan pulled out with injury, we thought that tonight's event may be a three-player group tonight but Jermaine Wattimena has stepped in to take on Joe Cullen, Ryan Murray and John Michael. Joe Cullen will be his biggest opposition but the two are evenly matched but Ryan Murray and John Michael are both capable of pulling off an upset.

Joe Cullen v Ryan Murray - Cullen to win: 1/2

Jermaine Wattimena v John Michael - Wattimena to win: 20/51

Ryan Murray v John Michael - Michael to win: 20/23

Joe Cullen v Jermaine Wattimena - Cullen to win: 4/5

Jermaine Wattimena v Ryan Murray - Wattimena to win: 5/13

John Michael v Joe Cullen - Cullen to win: 20/41

Group 20 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Joe Cullen | 5-4 | Ryan Murray | Won | | 2 | John Michael | 5-2 | Jermaine Wattimena | Loss | | 3 | Ryan Murray | 5-3 | John Michael | Loss | | 4 | Jermaine Wattimena | 5-4 | Joe Cullen | Loss | | 5 | Ryan Murray | 5-1 | Jermaine Wattimena | Loss | | 6 | Joe Cullen | 5-3 | John Michael | Won |

After being 11/12 for week four so far, we’ve ruined it majorly in group 20. Joe Cullen won the group as predicted but the last-minute inclusion of Jermaine Wattimena changed everything and threw a major spanner in the works.

Group 21: Thursday 7th May

Rob Cross Vs William Borland - Cross to win: 20/83

Dimitri Van Den Bergh Vs Karel Sedlacek - Van Den Bergh to win: 5/12

William Borland Vs Karel Sedlacek - Sedlacek to win: 10/13

Rob Cross Vs Dimitri Van Den Bergh - Cross to win: 5/9

Dimitri Van Den Bergh Vs William Borland - Van Den Bergh to win: 1/3

Karel Sedlacek Vs Rob Cross - Cross to win: 2/7

Group 21 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Rob Cross | 5-2 | William Borland | Won | | 2 | Dimitri Van Den Bergh | 5-1 | Karel Sedlacek | Won | | 3 | Karel Sedlacek | 5-0 | William Borland | Won | | 4 | Rob Cross | 5-4 | Dimitri Van Den Bergh | Won | | 5 | William Borland | 5-3 | Dimitri Van Den Bergh | Loss | | 6 | Rob Cross | 5-4 | Karel Sedlacek | Won |

Another 5/1 group of predictions. However, I think it is safe to assume that no one saw William Borland averaging 103 in his victory over Dimitri Van Den Bergh especially considering he averaged 80 in the two matches prior. Anything can happen in the PDC.

Group 22 Fixtures: Friday 8th May

Ian White Vs Jesus Noguera - White to win: 20/83

Danny Noppert Vs James Wilson - Noppert to win: 10/21

Jesus Noguera Vs James Wilson - Wilson to win:5/9

Ian White Vs Danny Noppert - Noppert to win: 6/5

Danny Noppert Vs Jesus Noguera - Noppert to win: 10/31

James Wilson Vs Ian White - Wilson to win: 21/10

Group 22 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Jesus Noguera | 5-3 | Ian White | Loss | | 2 | Danny Noppert | 5-4 | James Wilson | Won | | 3 | Jesus Noguera | 5-2 | James Wilson | Loss | | 4 | Ian White | 5-2 | Danny Noppert | Loss | | 5 | Danny Noppert | 5-2 | Jesus Noguera | Won | | 6 | James Wilson | 5-4 | Ian White | Won |

Group 22 saw a 50% success rate with the wins outweighing the losses in regards to returns. We’re never happy with 3/3 in the predictions but at least it wasn’t a loss this time around.

Group 23 Fixtures: Saturday 9th May

Kyle Anderson Vs Daniel Larsson - Anderson to win: 5/12

Martin Schindler Vs Dirk Van Duijvenbode - Van Duijvenbode to win: 5/6

Daniel Larsson Vs Dirk Van Duijvenbode - Van Duijvenbode to win: 5/11

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Daniel Larsson | 5-2 | Kyle Anderson | Loss | | 2 | Dirk Van Duijvenbode | 5-1 | Martin Schindler | Won | | 3 | Daniel Larsson | 5-2 | Dirk Van Duijvenbode | Loss | | 4 | Martin Schindler | 5-0 | Kyle Anderson | Loss | | 5 | Daniel Larsson | 5-0 | Martin Schindler | Loss | | 6 | Kyle Anderson | 5-4 | Dirk Van Duijvenbode | Loss |

Group 23 was a disaster. From a darts entertainment point of view and from our predictions. However, credit to Larsson who came in as the major underdog and played well but was never really troubled by his opponents. It’s strange being on the losing end of a 5/1 on the predictions but we’ll try again on Sunday.

Group 24 Fixtures: Sunday 10th May

Krzysztof Ratajski Vs Toni Alcinas - Ratajski to win: 20/67

Jamie Hughes Vs Darius Labanauskas - Labanauskas to win: 1/1

Toni Alcinas Vs Darius Labanauskas - Labanauskas to win: 4/7

Krzysztof Ratajski Vs Jamie Hughes - Ratajski to win: 10/19

Jamie Hughes Vs Toni Alcinas - Hughes to win: 20/43

Darius Labanauskas Vs Krzysztof Ratajski - Ratajski to win: 5/12

Group 24 Results

| Game | Winner | Score | Loser | Prediction? | |:--:|:-------------:|:-----:|:-------------:| | 1 | Krzysztof Ratajski | 5-3 | Toni Alcinas | Won | | 2 | Jamie Hughes | 5-2 | Darius Labanauskas | Loss | | 3 | Darius Labanauskas | 5-0 | Toni Alcinas | Won | | 4 | Jamie Hughes | 5-2 | Krzysztof Ratajski | Loss | | 5 | Jamie Hughes | 5-4 | Toni Alcinas | Won | | 6 | Krzysztof Ratajski | 5-3 | Darius Labanauskas | Won |

We end week four with a surprise package as Jamie Hughes comes through and dominates a group containing two very good competitors. It comes as a shock but as we correctly predict the other 4 results, we’re content with how the final day of week 4 has gone.

Predictions: 26/40 (65%)
