The round of 16 is split into four weeks of action starting on the 18th February and ending on the 26th before starting up again in the second week of March for the return legs. As it stands Manchester City are the current favourites at 11/4 whilst Chelsea are the outsiders bet after the were demolished by Bayern Munich in the first leg.
Champions League Final Betting Tips
When the quarter-finals were drawn, realistically only three teams were likely to make the Champions League final and after Manchester City were beaten by Lyon after an incredible performance by the French side, PSG Vs Bayern Munich seemed inevitable. Bayern are looking for their sixth Champions League while PSG are looking for their first. However, history doesn’t bode well for the French side as French sides have the worst record out of any country with more than 1 finalist with a French side winning a final just once, when Marseille defeated AC Milan in 1993. Can PSG break the curse and give Bayern their sixth Champions League final defeat?

PSG Vs Bayern Munich Match Preview
Until the semi-final Bayern Munich looked unstoppable in the Champions League and then against Lyon they looked vulnerable which could just be a credit to how much Lyon have improved under Rudi Garcia. On the other hand, PSG looked the most convincing that they have in the Champions League when they defeated RB Leipzig 3-0 in the semi finals. What this has done is made the betting odds for the Champions League final a little more even although Bayern Munich are still major favourites and their semi-final has simply been deemed as a below average performance. One player that has stood out dramatically is Serge Gnabry who has made the tournament his own with some fantastic performances and in a normal campaign he would be top goalscorer but Robert Lewandowski has had a fantastic campaign and is just two goals off the all-time record in one season set by Cristiano Ronaldo. It is worth noting that the ‘underdogs’ have two of the best players in the world up-front, so one thing you can guarantee is goals.
PSG Key Man
In a game where goals are virtually guaranteed we believe this game will be won by the defensive players. The main difference between this game and the Barcelona game is that PSG actually have a semi decent defence while Barcelona were all over the place. However, it is actually the man who played as a defensive midfielder who we believe will be the key man here. Marquinhos put in a man of the match performance against Leipzig and was essential in how they split up the fantastic system that Leipzig play. Very few defenders can read the game like the Brazilian which makes him a perfect player in these types of games.
Bayern Munich Key Man
It would be a bit of a cop-out to say that Robert Lewandowski will be Bayern’s key man so we’re going to go for the man who has the 2nd most assists in the world this season and is only 1 assist behind Lionel Messi despite playing less games than the Argentine. That player is Thomas Muller who was absolutely incredible against Barcelona and has been the unsung hero for Bayern Munich this season. Muller Vs Marquinhos will be the battle that decides this game and if the German is at his best, Marquinhos might start having the nightmares than Thiago Silva has since the 2014 World Cup.

Five Best Bets for Bayern Munich Vs PSG
Backing PSG to win anything at 3.2/1 at good value but if there was ever a game where it might not represent value. It’s here. However, would you bet against Neymar and Kylian Mbappe when their value can triple your money? I don’t think I would.
In one of the most bizarre bets we’ve seen, Robert Lewandowski is actually a betting favourite to score, to see a ‘not to score’ bet at 2/1 is incredibly rare and we think it represents value against PSG.
If you’re of an alternative mindset and think the Polish striker will score, it’s no surprise. So, we’ve also included a bet of Bayern to win and Lewandowski to score in our Pre-Pack bets, where you can find the most commonly bet doubles for the game.
Marquinhos will have to have one of the best games of his life if PSG are to beat Bayern and in the process, even on the Brazilian’s best day he will have numerous opportunities where he will have to make a foul. Which means the at 4.5/1, the odds of him getting a yellow card are very good indeed.
