Euro 2020 Football Betting Tips
As Euro 2020 qualifying comes to a close, one thing is for certain. Unless someone has done their research, they have absolutely no clue what’s going on with the play-off qualification process. We can tell you that out of the home nations England and Wales have qualified and some rather exciting news is that if Scotland win their play-off, they will be automatically placed in a group with England as a host nation. Without further ado, let's get straight into our Qualification Round-Ups, which includes some football betting tips.
England qualified from the group with relative ease, despite a surprise loss to the Czech Republic. However, the main controversy was that Bulgaria were allowed to advance to the Play-Offs despite their punishment for fans racially abusing players to the point where their game against England was nearly stopped. Kosovo were in our opinion the shining star of the group with their high-paced, no fear approach to games.
Ukraine were the surprise package of the group as they went unbeaten in both games Vs Portugal to stroll through to Euro 2020. Portugal also progressed through despite dropping points to both Ukraine and Serbia. Meanwhile, Serbia finished third in the group but have a spot in League C of the Play-Offs after winning their UEFA Nations League group.
Northern Ireland put up more of a fight than anyone expected in this group but it was the Netherlands and Germany who progressed. However, Northern Ireland have been given a spot in the play-offs and if they manage to match their performance against Germany and Holland when they play smaller teams, they have a great chance of advancing.

The battle between the Republic Of Ireland, Denmark and Switzerland was an intriguing one to say the least. Ireland topped the group at the start of November despite only scoring six goals in seven games. Mick McCarthy will look at the performances of his side in October as the reasons behind their failure to qualify for the first time since 2008.
As expected Croatia progressed as group winners. However, it wasn’t as easy as some may have predicted with close calls in both games against Azerbaijan and Wales as well as a defeat in Budapest. A late serge from Wales saw them qualify automatically whilst Hungary and Slovakia managed to slip their way through into the Play-Offs.
It would have been deemed one of the biggest shocks in Football if Spain failed to qualify here. However, Norway have been one of the most dramatic teams of the tournament with their games having five goals that changed the dynamic of their games coming in the 90th minute or later. Ensuring their games are definitely one to keep an eye on.
Poland and Austria were probably expected to qualify without any problems but North Macedonia have shown that even as underdogs, they’re capable of getting results against decent teams and deserve their spot in the Play-Offs.
Turkey were two games away from a memorable qualifying campaign where they would finish above France until they faced Iceland away on matchday nine. Turkey dominated but Iceland held on to keep their automatic qualifying dreams alive. Turkey won’t mind however, as they automatically qualified with France whilst Iceland made the play-offs.
Belgium were virtually guaranteed qualification but many predicted the gap between Russia and Scotland would be narrow. However, the Scots began the campaign in absolutely abysmal fashion but they recovered reasonably well and finished the campaign on 15 points and in the play-offs.
The dismal performances from Bosnia were the major surprise here. Italy absolutely dominated and the Pukki party was realised as Finland surprised a lot of people to finish runners up in a strong group.
