Fantasy Football Tips - February

Fantasy Football Tips

We’re reaching the business end of the season now as we have FA Cup Betting and Champions League Betting tips back in action. Once again, there are only three gameweeks to consider here for this month so it could well be worth taking a look ahead to March as well to see if there are any players that could dramatically improve your squad in the future.

Last Month

Player Predicted Points Actual Points Best Game PPGW
Dom Calvert-Lewin 19 14 West Ham (8) 6.3
Mohamed Salah 24-28 45 Southampton (16) 15
Roberto Firmino 18-22 31 Southampton (11) 10.3
Ayoze Perez 16 19 West Ham (15) 6.3

Although we picked two players who were quite expensive in Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, we believe that for a combined price of 34.2 million, 111 points across four players in three gameweeks is fairly impressive. If you had these players, you would have had an average of 37.6 points from just these four players every week and when you consider the weekly averages have been 44, 53 and 47 it is very likely that unless your other seven players have been complete disasters, that you’re getting above average at least every week. If that’s not a reason to make sure you’re checking out our Football Betting Tips every day, week and month then we’re not sure what is.

Three Players you need in February

Once again there are three gameweeks in the month of February with the winter break coming up for all Premier League teams. The most annoying aspect of this is the fact that in our first gameweek we will be forced to have our teams prepared by February 8th, despite 12 teams not playing until next weekend. This could spell disaster for some teams as who knows what could happen in that week? With that being said, here are three players that we think will really improve not just your Fantasy Football Team but also any Premier League Betting you may undergo during this month.

Danny Ings - 7 Million - Southampton

Southampton Vs Burnley - 15th February

Southampton Vs Aston Villa - 22nd February

West Ham Vs Southampton - 29th February

Our Prediction

Now, we’ve steered clear of Danny Ings this season simply because everyone on the planet seemed to have him two months ago. However, with Ings failing to score in his last three, his selected by percentage has decreased under 30%. It is sure to go up with Southampton’s fixtures and with five 2/5 difficulty fixtures in a row before they play Arsenal, Ings should pick up a tonne of points. He’ll pick up two goals but also the bonus as Southampton breeze past some of their opponents. Thus, picking up 19 points in the process.

Southampton to beat Burnley - 5/7

Federico Fernandez - 4.4 Million - Newcastle

Arsenal Vs Newcastle

Crystal Palace Vs Newcastle

Newcastle Vs Burnley

Our Prediction

Sticking a Newcastle United player in your squad is a bold move. However, despite not starting any of their first 9 games. Fernandez has 10 bonus points this season, just one less than Virgil Van Dijk. Newcastle score most of their goals by set-pieces and Fernandez is consistently a threat. We’re not expecting a clean sheet against Arsenal but they could easily keep clean sheets against Palace and Burnley. We’ll predict 12 points for the cheap Argentine.

Newcastle to beat Arsenal - 27/4

Raul Jimenez - Wolves - 7.7 Million

Wolves Vs Leicester - 14th February

Wolves Vs Norwich - 23rd February

Spurs Vs Wolves - 1st March

We’re trying to avoid any Liverpool players as we know most people will likely still have three in their team. So our third option is the Mexican: Raul Jimenez. Wolves take on three defences that haven’t been great in the last month - Leicester haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last six against Premier League opposition, Norwich have the worst defensive record in the league and Spurs despite Mourinho settling their defence in recent months still aren’t fantastic defensively. We’re predicting at least 16 points for the Mexican forward. Wolves to beat Leicester - 31/20

Players to avoid

Jack Grealish - 6.7 Million - Aston Villa

When you look at Aston Villa literally everything goes through Jack Grealish, if he doesn’t perform, they don’t perform. Which makes this decision quite difficult. However, between now and the end of the season, their fixture list is rough. Plus in gameweek 28, Aston Villa are without a game. 25.5% of players have Grealish in their squad which represents how talented the youngster is but when you consider in-form players like Harvey Barnes, John Fleck and Ayoze Perez are all cheaper, this is a perfect time to remove the young Englishman.

Raheem Sterling - 11.7 Million - Manchester City

After a very positive start, Raheem Sterling has had an awful last two months in the Premier League scoring just 35 points in 10 games. Which when costing 11.7 million is unacceptable in Fantasy Football. That being said 18% of players still have him in their teams despite him only picking up 13 more points than Adama Traore who started the campaign at 5 million. City also have four big teams in their next six games, so we would recommend if you’re going to bring in a Manchester City player make it either Riyad Mahrez or Kevin De Bruyne. Then again, they too are without a game in gameweek 28, so can you afford to have an 11 million player on the bench?

Tammy Abraham - 7.7 Million - Chelsea

Since his brace on December 4th, Tammy Abraham has picked up 35 points and scored just twice. Abraham has failed to score against the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton, Arsenal, Newcastle and Southampton all of whom tend to concede a fair number of goals and when you consider the likes of the previously mentioned Ings and Jimenez are cheaper than Abraham it could be time to remove yet another Englishman from your squad. So there we have it, our tip is to remove 26.1 million of English attacking talent and bring in an Englishman, a Mexican and an Argentine for 19.1 Million, we’ve conducted our own trade deal here at and saved seven million in the process, could that upgrade your Jordan Ayew into Sergio Aguero.
