Fantasy Football Tips for November
Written: 1st November 2019
After some successful fantasy football tips in October, our expert returns with his tips for November as we’ll be officially passing 1/3 point of the 2019/20 Premier League betting and we find ourselves asking, where has the time gone?! It seems only yesterday that we were wowed by a brave Norwich City side who inevitably lost to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.
If you’ve had the likes of Mason Mount, Kevin De Bruyne and John Lundstram in your squad, you’re currently laughing at the extra funds you have at your disposal. Meanwhile, if you’ve had the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Pablo Fornals or Moise Kean, well you have our sympathies. There are four game weeks in the month of November before we head into the busiest month of the calendar and one of the most defining months in Fantasy Football - December. But before all that, you’ve got to get through November and if you’re looking to finish near the top of the points table, we recommend taking a look at these tips.
IN: Anthony Martial - Manchester United - 7.6 Million
The return of Anthony Martial will do wonders for Manchester United as Marcus Rashford is simply incapable of playing as a lone striker. If you look at the five games United have played with Martial compared to the games without him, well, we’ll just show you.
|With Martial||5 Played||8 Points||1.6 PPG|
|Without Martial||5 Played||5 Points||1.0 PPG|
In regards to betting you can find Anthony Martial to score against Bournemouth anytime at 6/4.
OUT: Tyrone Mings - Aston Villa - 4.6 Million
If you’re part of the 5.5% of players who have Tyrone Mings in their squads then you’ll be cursing at the fact that the England international has picked up just nine points in five weeks. If Villa can’t keep clean sheets against the likes of Burnley and Brighton then the chances of them keeping one against Liverpool, Wolves and Man United are very slim. They do play Newcastle at home in the third week of November, so it might be worth keeping Mings benched until then.
If you’re confident that Aston Villa will keep a clean sheet at home to Liverpool this weekend, then you can find odds for this at 31/4.
IN: Adama Traore - Wolves - 5.1 Million
Traore has always been viewed as a bit of a wildcard player. He’s very strong at pretty much everything except the final product. This season we’ve seen a lot more on the final product side and against Newcastle, Traore was their best player as he consistently beat his man and got in crosses, we think he’ll be very effective against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Bournemouth but might struggle against Sheffield United where there will likely be little space for him to utilise his pace.
OUT: Mathew Ryan - Brighton - 4.7 Million
Although Mathew Ryan is an incredible keeper, Brighton playing attacking football will dramatically decrease the number of clean sheets that Brighton keep. They’ve kept 2 of their three clean sheets in fixtures you perhaps wouldn’t have expected them to keep a clean sheet. We think they might keep another against Norwich but when the run to December is like Brighton’s. You should definitely consider removing Mat Ryan.
|2nd Nov||Norwich (H)||6 points|
|10th Nov||Man U (A)||1 Point|
|23rd Nov||Leicester (H)||3 Points|
|30th Nov||Liverpool (A)||1 Point|
|5th Dec||Arsenal (H)||1 Point|
|8th Dec||Wolves (H)||2 Points|
IN: Christian Pulisic - Chelsea - 7.1 Million
The American is finding his feet at Chelsea and we think after his 10/10 performance against Burnley that the young winger may be virtually guaranteed a place against struggling Watford, Chelsea’s fixture list is good for the majority and we think that Pulisic has the best value after falling from 7.5m to 7.1m due to a lack of play time early in the season.
OUT: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool - 7.2 Million
It was always going to be difficult for Trent and Andrew Robertson to repeat their feats of last season and with a 7M price tag on the two, a lot of fantasy football managers were banking on them to do so. There is always a chance that Liverpool will keep clean sheets but as they aren’t keeping them at the moment, 7.2 Million is a steep price to pay for a defender who has less points than a newly promoted player who started the season with a price of 4M.
IN: Jamie Vardy - Leicester City - 9.3 Million
Leicester have played Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Wolves and Spurs in their opening ten games and Jamie Vardy is still the Fantasy Premier League top scorer with 74 points in 10 weeks and if you’re looking for great value, well you’re not going to find better value than Jamie Vardy unless you check out 21.co.uk’s online betting platform. If you don’t believe us, check out the Foxes’ next seven fixtures below:
|3rd Nov||Crystal Palace (A)|
|9th Nov||Arsenal (H)|
|23rd Nov||Brighton (A)|
|1st Dec||Everton (H)|
|4th Dec||Watford (H)|
|8th Dec||Aston Villa (A)|
|14th Dec||Norwich (H)|
OUT: Teemu Pukki - Norwich City - 6.9 Million
As much as enjoyed the Pukki Party back in August and September, the Finland international has picked up just 8 points in five games and has been a bit of a letdown, especially considering their last five games were significantly easier on paper than their first five. If you’ve had Pukki since the beginning of FPL then you’re in luck as the striker has risen in price but if you can, we would definitely recommend getting rid of Teemu Pukki and replacing him with Jamie Vardy.
