UEFA Nations League Saturday Tips
|Game||League and Group||Prediction|
|Spain Vs Switzerland||League A, Group 4||2-0 (11/2)|
|Ukraine Vs Germany||League A, Group 4||1-2 (15/2)|
|Luxembourg Vs Cyprus||League C, Group 1||2-1 (9/1)|
|Montenegro Vs Azerbaijan||League C, Group 1||2-0 (5/1)|
|Andorra Vs Malta||League D, Group 1||1-1 (24/5)|
|Faroe Islands Vs Latvia||League D, Group 1||2-2 (25/1)|
|Liechtenstein Vs Gibraltar||League D, Group 2||1-0 (4/1)|
Saturday is the first day of UEFA Nations League action and the majority of these games are even with very little to choose from between the teams. 0-0's are very rare in the modern-day and we don't think we'll see one today. However, Andorra Vs Malta has the potential to end goalless while Liechtenstein Vs Gibraltar could end 5-3 or 1-0; it's difficult to know for sure. Spain and Germany are two sides that will fight out for the top place in League A, Group 4. If they drop points against Switzerland or Ukraine, the other will win. Germany drew their first two games against Spain and Switzerland and another drop of points against Ukraine would ruin their chances of winning the Nations League.
In the football betting odds Montenegro are the favourites to win League C, Group 1 and we're confident that they won't drop any points at home. Luxembourg Vs Cyprus might be a closer affair, but we'd back Luxembourg or draw at a double chance.
League D is a different matter entirely, as they are in a league of their own in regards to poor football. The Faroe Islands have won both their games by small margins, but they come up against a better side in Latvia, which in our opinion is the group to gain promotion. Liechtenstein are in a group 2 of League D with San Marino and Gibraltar, so it doesn't take a genius to predict how that group is going to end.
In regards to betting tips, there is one treble that stands out amongst the rest due to the three teams having outstanding odds for the difference in quality between themselves and their opposition. This treble is:
Spain to beat Switzerland
Germany to beat Ukraine
Liechtenstein to beat Gibraltar
Alternatively, you can back either of these singles that we believe represents good value in these games, we do not predict these things to happen, but with the costs attached, they are worth a punt if you're looking for something a little different.

Sunday brings almost double the action that we will see on Saturday with 20 games across the Nations League - starting with the action in League A.
Group 1 of League A should be relatively straightforward. Still, matchday one showed that Bosnia and Poland have the potential to upset the two big teams as Bosnia took the lead and held on for a draw against Italy. At the same time, Poland narrowly lost to Netherlands but offered very little attacking threat without Robert Lewandowski. The Champions League winner returns to the line-up here, but we can't see either Poland or Bosnia picking up points this time around.
Group 2 of League A is a different matter entirely as England take on Belgium and Iceland travel to Denmark. England's results have flattered them so far and alike to the World Cup; we can see two Belgium victories in the UEFA Nations League with England causing very few problems for Sunday's visitors. As for the other game, Denmark are a side that can cause problems for any side in the world but they aren't the most clinical side, if they were they would have beaten England last time out. We think they'll have enough to beat Iceland.
Group 3 sees what is, in our opinion the biggest game of the weekend as Nations League holders Portugal travel to World Cup Winners, France. So far both sides have won their opening two games reasonably convincingly, and the winners of the group will likely be the winning team here. Personally, I can't look beyond France. Croatia Vs Sweden is a game to avoid the drop and realistically, Sweden look out of place in League A, so we're going to back a Croatian victory.
UEFA Nations League Home Nations Betting Tips
Northern Ireland host Austria in this weekend's action and before their 5-1 demolition from Norway, they may have been better odds to get a result. However, the humiliation is reflected in the odds as Northern Ireland are over 3/1 to pick up a home victory. Norway's front two scored 83 goals for club and country last season. Northern Ireland have scored 85 since 2011, which is oddly how many games they've played in that period. Meaning, in an average of 54 games, Norway's strikers have scored more than the Northern Ireland national team. Austria, on the other hand, have been incredibly inconsistent as they easily beat group favourites Norway in Oslo before losing to Romania in Vienna.
Group 2 leaders Scotland host Slovakia who are currently bottom of the group. The Scots kicked off the Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw with Israel and followed it up with a 2-1 victory in Prague against the Czech Republic - who were personally our favourites to win the group. Meanwhile, the Slovakians have struggled, with a 3-1 defeat against the Czech Republic and also a 1-1 draw with Israel. We think this game will be tighter than Slovakia's loss to the Czech Republic and we are going for a narrow Scotland victory.
Republic Of Ireland Vs Wales
In a mirror image to the first Nations League, Wales and the Republic of Ireland go head-to-head once again. Wales won their first game against Finland 1-0 and defeated Bulgaria by the same scoreline. Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland drew their first game against Bulgaria and lost 1-0 to Finland. Which means statistically, Wales are the favourites for this game as in the 2018 Nations league as Wales defeated Republic of Ireland 4-1 and 1-0. However, the crucial difference this time around is that Wales may be without Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.
