Another thrilling week of Premier League football saw another tremendous encounter between our two experts as MG edged out TM 5-4 in a win that contained fantastic winning odds of 5/1 and 21/4. That means that the current scores are tied 7-7 but MG hasn’t won back to back weeks since the opening two weeks of the season, can he change that in this round of midweek fixtures or will TM get his revenge this week? In regards to fixtures, there is an absolutely fantastic round of fixtures when it comes to betting as Jose Mourinho leads Spurs into battle against Manchester United, plus there is a Merseyside derby and a relegation six-pointer to sink our teeth into.

Crystal Palace Vs Bournemouth - Tuesday 3rd December (19:30)

Bournemouth will look to replicate Crystal Palace’s performance at the weekend as they put their run of three defeats on the bounce behind them to secure an away win. Meanwhile, after beating Burnley at the weekend, Roy Hodgson will be looking ahead to the favourable run of fixtures in December with the belief that his side can perhaps find themselves in the top six at the end of the year, however, that all starts on Tuesday against Bournemouth.

TM‘s Prediction

Crystal Palace did their best to earn me a win over the weekend, by battling hard for their win at Turf Moor, but I can see them dropping points against Bournemouth here. The away side haven’t been great recently, but they’ve shown they can still score goals, and I think they’ll earn a point.

Draw - 5/2

MG’s Prediction

Both these sides have shocked me recently, Palace were fantastic against Burnley and Bournemouth have been very disappointing since their win against Manchester United. I think this game will be decided by defensive mistakes especially considering games at Selhurst Park don’t contain many goals. I’m going to go with this

One Goal in the First Half - 23/20

Burnley Vs Manchester City - Tuesday 3rd December (20:15)

Both these sides picked up disappointing results at the weekend and will be looking to put that behind them here. Burnley picked up a few knocks against Crystal Palace so they might not be able to implicate their physical style on the visitors. Meanwhile, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Manchester City are firmly out of the title race and teams have figured out how to get results against them. This should be an intriguing contest.

MG’s Prediction

Manchester City need to win here. Simple as that, they were lucky against Newcastle and it took a Kevin De Bruyne wonder-strike to break the Magpies down who then responded with a fantastic strike from Jonjo Shelvey. Burnley won’t be 100% after a physical contest on Saturday and I think it’ll be an even contest here and because Pep loves a rotation, we can’t pick a player to score, so...

Goal Scored 16-30 Min: YES - 29/20

TM‘s Prediction

I genuinely feel that the title race is over, and with that, we’ll begin to see a Manchester City side that plays with more freedom and less scrutiny. To that end, I can see them battering Burnley here, with a fair few goals scored.

Over 3.5 Goals - 13/10

Chelsea Vs Aston Villa - Wednesday 4th December (19:30)

Aston Villa have had a very good week after drawing at Old Trafford on Sunday and dispatching of Newcastle United on Monday. The key to both results was Jack Grealish who is definitely finding his feet in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, Chelsea need to bounce back after a dismal performance at home to West Ham, Olivier Giroud looked like he was lacking match fitness and Chelsea struggled offensively because of it.

TM‘s Prediction

Chelsea were poor against West Ham, while Aston Villa were very good against Manchester United, so I’m tempted to back a draw. I just have a feeling that Chelsea will respond well, and will have enough to hold Villa off.

Chelsea to Win & BTTS - 13/10

MG’s Prediction

Goals betting has done me the world of good recently as you can probably tell by my choices this week so far and if something works

Total Goals: 3 - 27/10

Leicester City Vs Watford - Wednesday 4th December (19:30)

The managerial role at Watford is like riding the mechanical bull, a lot of people try to do it - some even try to do it twice but no matter what, they always fall and fail. The Foxes, on the other hand, have a number of different clubs circling manager Brendan Rodgers and we here at don’t think the former Celtic manager is going anywhere. Leicester are legitimate title contenders and after their late goal against Everton will be up for this, this scoreline could be a disaster for Watford unless they bounce back.

MG’s Prediction

I predicted Jamie Vardy would start the Leicester party at the weekend and I was very close. This week I firmly expect the Leicester party to continue with a defensive masterclass here.

Leicester to win to Zero - 6/5

TM‘s Prediction

Leicester’s performance was frankly lackluster against Everton, but they found their win in the end. Watford have gone through two managers and it’s not even Christmas. I think Leicester will earn a more convincing win in this one.

Leicester to Score Over 2.5 Goals - 7/5

Man United Vs Tottenham Hotspur - Wednesday 4th December (19:30)

Ho Ho Ho! What an early Christmas treat we have here. Jose Mourinho returns to Manchester United with a point to prove. The Portuguese manager hasn’t quite gotten his side exactly how he wants it yet as they’ve been clinical up-front but remain lax at the back. Which funnily enough, is exactly the same as Manchester United, on paper this game spells out the word goals but when that is the case, these games usually finish 1-0.

MG’s Prediction

Christmas treat is right! Personally, I’m very excited for Jose to return to Old Trafford. I can personally see Spurs getting the better of United here but we have some special additional bets for this fixture, so I’d recommend checking out those - especially this one.

Dele Alli Total Shots: Over 1.5 - 11/10

TM‘s Prediction

I’d never have thought this would be a Jose Mourinho grudge match, but here we are. He may have had his issues at Manchester United, but Solskjaer’s are seemingly worse, so I’m backing Tottenham to win at Old Trafford.

Tottenham to Win - 8/5

Southampton Vs Norwich City - Wednesday 4th December (19:30)

You really couldn’t have handpicked better back-to-back fixtures for Southampton as they faced Watford at the weekend and scraped through with three points due to a mix of fantastic play and VAR negligence. Meanwhile, Norwich got a half-decent point against Arsenal, however, they could have won but they look a lot better than they did a few games ago. You wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a result here.

TM‘s Prediction

Norwich were unlucky to only secure a point against Arsenal, while Southampton needed a late fightback to beat the Premier League’s basement side. The pressure may not fully be on Ralph Hasenhuttl at the moment, but I think the Canaries will turn the heat up with a win at St Mary’s.

Norwich to Win - 33/10

MG’s Prediction

From a Christmas treats to a stocking filler, apologies to all Saints and Canaries out there but this will be a dismal affair, both sides can’t afford to lose and this one will be decided by defensive mistakes rather than attacking brilliance. Unless one team turns up and the other doesn’t this should be a draw.

DRAW - 3/1

Wolves Vs West Ham United - Wednesday 4th December (19:30)

West Ham picked up a fantastic win at Stamford Bridge at the weekend and to go alongside it was the feelgood story of David Martin making his debut for his hometown club in favour of the embarrassing Roberto. However, the story behind this fixture is that West Ham failed to score in either game against Wolves last season and lost 3-0 in particular fixture which means that if David Martin remains between the sticks, he’s going to have his work cut out for him again here.

TM‘s Prediction

Wolves have been ticking along rather nicely recently, while West Ham looked devoid of ideas for most of October and November. A good win at Chelsea has moved them up the table, and I can see them battle here. Still, I think Wolves will break them down, and there’s one key man to keep an eye on.

Raul Jimenez to Score Anytime - 11/10

MG’s Prediction

Wolves are notoriously difficult to beat. Meanwhile, the Hammers have picked up a great win against Chelsea at the weekend, West Ham tend to lose in goalfests and we think that both teams to score is nailed on. However, that bet is 5/6 so we’re going with this instead.

Wolves to win and BTTS - 51/20

Liverpool Vs Everton - Wednesday 4th December (20:15)

On paper, this fixture is a foregone conclusion which shows how far Everton have fallen. However, if they don’t exert themselves in a Merseyside derby then Marco Silva has to be sacked and Liverpool could run out with their most comfortable win of the season. However, if Everton do put up a fight, we could well see Jurgen Klopp’s Rocky Balboa impression one more time.

MG’s Prediction

Legitimately anything could happen here, so I'm quite concerned about what I’m going to put. Recent fixtures have ended with a small amount of goals but I think this is a game where both sides could throw caution to the wind. I have noticed that Everton concede a lot of goals to players who play centrally, meaning either Firmino or Wijnaldum have an increased chance of scoring. Gini is 6/1 to score anytime but I’ll go safer with this

Roberto Firmino to have over 1.5 shots on target - 23/20

TM‘s Prediction

Marco Silva is just about still in charge at Everton, but a heavy defeat at Anfield would surely spell the end of his tenure. Liverpool, in my opinion, have only been doing the bare minimum to collect three points, but it’s a system that is working stupendously. I keep feeling a big win could be just around the corner, but I’m not sure it will come in this one.

Under 2.5 Goals - 27/20

Sheffield United Vs Newcastle United - Thursday 5th December (19:30)

These two sides haven’t faced off in nine years, despite all their problems. Now, Sheffield United look as strong a side as they have in Premier League history and Newcastle have absolutely no consistency. The Magpies have only avoided defeat in two away games this season as they beat Tottenham and West Ham, they were absolutely dismal in their other two encounters away to newly-promoted sides and you wouldn’t be surprised if that continued here even after an exceptional point at the weekend.

TM‘s Prediction

With some favourable fixtures over December, Newcastle could well build on some good form. However, they did slip up against Aston Villa away from home last Monday. Sheffield United are potent in front of goal, and are playing exciting football, so I think they’ll at least get a couple of goals.

Sheffield United to Score Over 1.5 Goals - 6/5

MG’s Prediction

Newcastle are dismal away from home but showed their strength against Manchester City at St James’ Park. If they repeat their performance against Aston Villa, we’re predicting an easy day for the Sheffield United defence.

Sheffield United to win to nil - 17/10

Arsenal Vs Brighton & Hove Albion - Thursday 5th December (20:15)

The hashtag #FreddieOut was trending before Arsenal played Norwich and guess what? He was trending afterwards as well. I think that tells you all you need to know about Arsenal at the moment meanwhile, Brighton looked very good against Liverpool and actually bested the Scousers for most of the game. They should have an easier time against Freddie Ljungberg’s Arsenal.

MG’s Prediction

I haven’t really picked any longshots yet this week and last week it was a longshot in the last game of the week that gave me the win. Therefore, I’ll go with another one here. In-fact the bet is almost exactly the same.

Both teams to score in both Halves: Yes - 17/2

TM‘s Prediction

Arsenal looked shaky against Norwich, to say the least, but I think Freddie Ljungberg will make the necessary changes to improve. Brighton have the potential to cause an upset, but I think they’ll fall short again unfortunately, but will at least score a goal.
