5 Buzzer Beating Betting Tips

5 Buzzer Beating Betting Tips - NBA Week Six: Monday 25th - Monday 2nd December

After another exciting round of fixtures, and a mixed bag this time around from’s resident tipster in their week five NBA betting tips, the 2019/20 season begins to take shape. Milwaukee Bucks are currently on top of the Eastern Conference, but it’s the chasing pack of Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, and Philadelphia 76ers that we’re mostly keeping an eye on this time around. Elsewhere, LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets look to make a claim for the Western Conference title. Read through our week six NBA betting odds below.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors, Tuesday 26th November, 00:30 GMT

Up first are the reigning champions, Toronto Raptors, up against the side that tipped to be victorious in our NBA season preview, Philadelphia 76ers. The Raptors will be delighted with their current form, putting together three wins on the spin, including two at the Scotiabank Arena against Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic. This is indicative of how strong the Raptors have been at home, so they’ll be confident in this one.

That said, Philadelphia 76ers are built on a largely solid defense, and they can counter-attack fairly impressively. They’re also on a pretty impressive run of four wins in a row, although the win at Cleveland Cavaliers that began that streak was their first away win in six matches, so it’ll be interesting to see whether they’re full of momentum, or full of nerves. It’s tempting to back the Raptors outright, but we’re going to start the week with a total points tip. We can’t see the loser getting over 100 points.

Total Points - Under 212 (25/27)

Washington Wizards @ Denver Nuggets, Wednesday 27th November, 02:00 GMT

Denver Nuggets are soaring in the Western Conference, largely off the back of five wins in a row, including impressive wins over Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, and Phoenix Suns. They currently boast an 80% win rate, which includes a 7-2 record at the Pepsi Center, although one of those defeats was a shocking 121-125 loss to struggling Atlanta Hawks. Therefore, this is by no means a certain win for the Nuggets.

Washington Wizards were widely predicted to underwhelm this season, but finding themselves in 9th place in the Eastern Conference, having played two or three games fewer than some of their nearby rivals, they definitely have a chance of moving up into the playoff positions. It will be a tough ask in a week that sees them also play Phoenix Suns, LA Lakers, and LA Clippers, but if they can perform as they did in their 21 point win at the Timberwolves, then they could cause an upset here.

Spread Full Time - Washington Wizards +9.5 (10/11)

LA Lakers @ New Orleans Pelicans, Thursday 28th November, 02:30 GMT

New Orleans Pelicans were predicted by some to be the whipping boys of the Western Conference this season, but at we thought they’d be the best of the rest and miss out on the playoffs by a single position. Currently, they toe the line somewhere in between those two forecasts, but having played a few games more than some of the other sides in the bottom half, they’ll be concerned ahead of welcoming the NBA’s form side to the Smoothie King Center.

LA Lakers have won 7 games in a row and currently fear no-one. Of their two losses this season, both have been at the Staples Center, although technically one was an away game as they lost to neighbours LA Clippers. This technically means they’ve won all six of their games on away soil, but with the margin varying from 1 to 9, Pelicans will think they’ve got a chance. This is reflected in the spread, but we can see the Lakers covering it.

Spread Full Time - LA Lakers -6.5 (20/21)

Boston Celtics @ Brooklyn Nets, Friday 29th November, 17:00 GMT

By the time these two face off at the Barclays Center, they’ll have already completed the reverse fixture at TD Garden less than 48 hours prior. A week or so ago, you’d have said that Brooklyn Nets would be nervous of welcoming a form team to their home, but with the Nets on a three game winning sequence, and having won four of their past five, they’re certainly brimming with confidence. That said, the Celtics are likely to pose more of a threat than Charlotte Hornets, Sacramento Kings, and New York Knicks.

Boston Celtics have slumped to two defeats in a row and will need a win against the Kings, followed by two good results against the Nets to once again apply pressure to the Eastern Conference’s top side, Milwaukee Bucks. That said, the Celtics lost to the Kings a couple of weeks ago, and if they’re lacking any positives going into this double-header, they could continue to struggle. We’ll back them to cover the spread though.

Spread Full Time - Boston Celtics -4.5 (25/28)

Golden State Warriors @ Miami Heat, Saturday 30th November, 01:00 GMT

Miami Heat are one of the sides lying in wait if any or all of the Bucks, the Celtics, and the Raptors slip up, as they boast an 11-4 record, in spite of being decimated by the 76ers 113-86 on Sunday night. Prior to that, they were on a five-game winning streak, and they’ll be looking to get good results against Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets before welcoming the current worst side in the NBA to the American Airlines Arena.

Golden State Warriors are that side who, in spite of earning their third win of the season at Memphis Grizzlies last Wednesday, are still at the foot of the Western Conference with the lowest win percentage of any side this season. A 48 point loss to Dallas Mavericks followed by a narrow loss at Utah Jazz certainly won’t have helped, and in’s view, they’ll need to have beaten both Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls to have any hope here.

Spread Full Time - Miami Heat -11.5 (Evens)
