Basic Blackjack Rules
The rules of blackjack are relatively straightforward. The goal is to get as close to 21 as possible by adding the value of your cards together, without going over. Both the player and dealer start with two cards. The player then plays first, choosing to take more cards, to stand, or to exercise one of the other options. Once the player concludes his or her play, the dealer plays. Whoever gets closer to 21 without going over wins the hand. Used cards are discarded and a new hand is dealt.
How to Play Player's Suite Blackjack
At the start of the game, you will notice a stack of chips to the left of the play table. Establish your initial wager by dragging chips to the centre of the table until you are satisfied with your wager. Then click the button to initiate a deal. Both you and the dealer will receive two cards; one of the dealer's cards will be face down. You may then:
Hit – Ask the dealer for another card.
Stand – Conclude your hand with the cards you currently have.
Double Down – Double your wager and then continue to play; doubling is allowed only once per hand.
Split – Splitting creates two separate hands by separating your two initial cards. Split hands are played simultaneously.
Should you choose to split, the initial wager you placed prior to the beginning of the hand will apply separately to the split hand. Splitting is only allowed once per hand and, in the case of split aces, only one additional card is dealt to the player for each hand.
There are a few special rules you should know before playing Player's Suite Blackjack. These are as follows:
The dealer must stand at 17, whether hard or soft.
Players can receive a maximum of 8 cards. The player automatically wins with 8 cards that do not exceed 21.
Players are allowed to double down after a split, but only one double is allowed per hand.
A new game begins with six decks of shuffled cards. That game is concluded when all six decks have been worked through.
At the conclusion of a Player's Suite Blackjack game, you can click 'Repeat/Deal' to initiate a new game using your last wager and automatically dealing two cards. You can click 'Re-bet' if you prefer to start a new game with the same wager but you want to think about modifications before the cards are dealt. Clicking 'Clear All' immediately removes all bets from the table and allows you to start over.
