Casino Capitals of the World: Las Vegas Bucket List
To many casino fans, the ultimate holiday destination is Las Vegas. Bright lights, luxury hotels, and of course, world-famous casinos. Las Vegas has become a sort of mecca for slots, roulette, blackjack and more, and for good reason. The iconic strip plays host to casinos like Caesars Palace, which of course makes an appearance on our Las Vegas Bucket List. But there’s more to Sin City than just gambling - check out this list of things to do and see if you’re planning on booking a flight across the Atlantic.
1. Take a Photo of the Las Vegas Sign
The ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign has become a famous landmark, and a must-see when visiting the city. Not only is this basically a rite of passage, but provides the perfect opportunity to take an instagram-worthy photo. The best time to see it is at night when it’s illuminated, so get your camera at the ready and stop by when you’re on your way to dinner or the bar.
2. Drive a Supercar Around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Fan of fast cars? The Las Vegas Motor Speedway has you covered. Exotics Racing give you the chance to take a supercar of your choice for a few laps around the racetrack. From Ferraris to Lamborghinis, there’s something to suit every taste.

You’ll also find nightclubs, spas, shops and a golf course - Caesars is a hub of entertainment and the epitome of Vegas nightlife.
4. Ride the Gondolas at the Venetian
While Vegas is usually associated with parties and gambling, the Venetian offers a little piece of tranquility among the bright lights and bustling crowds. Experience an impressive recreation of St Mark’s Square, the Campanile and the Rialto Bridge as you drift through blue waters in the iconic gondolas. Look up and you’ll be greeted by ornately painted ceilings which are a treat for the eye. 7. Catch the Volcano at the Mirage
Las Vegas is known for putting on a show, and this applies whether you’re in a bar or walking down the street. The Mirage is worth visiting for a few reasons, one of them is the volcano in its front yard. You can catch the volcano show at 8pm and 9pm, with an additional 10pm show available on Friday and Saturday. This quirky event is a quintessential Las Vegas experience, and a great video-op for your instagram story too.

When on holiday, a trip to a graveyard may not be on the agenda. However, the Neon Museum in Vegas gives a taste of the city’s history and culture. You’ll discover iconic Las Vegas signs that are no longer in use, and get the chance to get a closer look than you would if they were on the side of a building. The outdoor exhibition is famously referred to as the Neon Boneyard or the Neon Graveyard. Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum collects, preserves, studies and exhibits Las Vegas signs for historic and cultural enrichment. Tours are available which offer full-access to the museum and the exhibitions available.
