About Narcos Mexico

The Narcos Mexico slot from Red Tiger is played on a five reel, three row grid that comes with 243 ways to win. Winning combinations hit when three or more matching symbols appear anywhere on consecutive reels, starting with the very first reel. The max win is up to 10,486x your total bet which can happen through the Cartel Spins feature. If you haven’t guessed it yet, the Narcos Mexico slot is the official game for the Narcos: Mexico NetFlix series. The story is focused on the 1980s Mexican drug war and follows the real life events that surround the Guadalajara cartel’s rise to dominance and power. Visually, the icons have a photorealistic look to them, which is very similar to the Narcos original by NetEnt.

This is a beautifully designed game and the soundtrack is the official one from the series which is called ‘Tuyo’ from Rodrigo Amarante. The grid finds itself set amongst bullet ridden cars, palm trees and mansions which help to set the mood. On the reels, the symbols you will be working with include playing card royals ace, king, queen, jack and 10. There are also four higher value symbols which are represented by the cartel bosses. In order of value, these are Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán (Alejandro Edda), Juan Nepomuceno Guerra (Jesus Ochoa), Amado Carrillo Fuentes (José María Yazpik) and Benjamín Arellano Félix (Alfonso Dosal). Benjamín is the highest paying symbol giving you 1x, 2.5x or 5x your bet for three, four or five in a combination.

Then there is the Cartel Spins scatter which is the series’ main character Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo - plus plane and phone symbols, which only appear during the Cartel Spins feature. The wild symbol is a package that has a scorpion on it, and this can substitute for all paying symbols.

Narcos Mexico Bonus Features

There are a number of bonus features in Narcos Mexico. One of these is the Supply Drop feature where an aeroplane will fly across the reels at random dropping wild packages. There is also a Double Cash feature where, on any winning spin, a cartel boss can randomly make a call to double your win.

There is the Win Exchange feature which activates when you win at least 100x your bet or higher. This allows you to swap your prize for entry to the game’s prominent bonus round, the Cartel Spins feature. Should you choose to do this, a red and green gamble wheel will appear and if you land on red you will lose, while green will see you enter the Cartel Spins feature.

The other way to enter the Cartel Spins feature is by landing three Cartel Spins scatters on reels one, three and five simultaneously. Three respins will be awarded before you are taken to a new 10x10 grid where the four cartel bosses appear in each corner in 2x2 size. On each spin, the remaining cells will display blank spaces, Mystery Territory symbols, phones or planes. If these symbols land next to one of the leaders, they are activated and locked in position with the number of respins resetting to three.

These special symbols offer different awards such as, the phone doubling the values of all multipliers from that territory, while the plane will increase all of the multipliers from that territory between 1x and 5x. If rival cartel territories are adjacent to the same Mystery Territory symbol, then a Cartel War will ensue. The stronger boss will overtake his rival’s turf with his power increasing, which means bigger wins for you. The feature will end when you run out of respins or reach the max payout of up to 10,486x stake.

21.co.uk Review Of Narcos Mexico

Although not made by them, Red Tiger have taken on the Narcos slot franchise for the Mexican sequel and, despite a similar look and feel, have perfectly crafted a different experience compared to the previous Narcos game. It looks very good and is a nice addition to the series, and any fans of the series, or those that simply like slot games based on TV shows, will find great gameplay features within this game.
