MG pushed forward to an 8-7 lead in our Premier League Predictions with an emphatic 4-2, both experts were incredibly unlucky but it was some great 3/1 bets that ensured MG’s victory. The question remains over whether he can build on this lead going into Christmas or if we’ll have an 18-18 scoreline going into the penultimate week of fixtures. Everton Vs Chelsea - Saturday 7th December (12:30)

These two sides are clawing away at different ends of the table. Without Tammy Abraham, Chelsea looked toothless up-front so his return was fantastic news for the Blues. Meanwhile, Everton have sacked Marco Silva and could well benefit from a new manager bounce but Chelsea fair better on the road than they do at home so realistically, this should only go one way.

MG’s Prediction

I think it’s perfectly clear that neither of these sides can defend to save their lives. So, when you see the odds for goals to be scored, it looks very promising. However, when a new manager comes into a club everything changes, Everton might actually be able to defend. Although, because I find that highly unlikely I'm going to go with this

Over 3.5 Goals - 17/10

TM‘s Prediction

Everton haven’t been playing good football, that much is clear, but you certainly feel they have all the pieces within their team to perform under a new manager. Chelsea haven’t looked convincing recently, despite a few wins, and I can see Everton earning a point.

Draw - 14/5

Bournemouth Vs Liverpool - Saturday 7th December (15:00)

If Bournemouth play as they did against Crystal Palace, this will finish 0-5 Liverpool. Tuesday night simply wasn’t acceptable and the Cherries have now lost four in a row with Liverpool this weekend and Chelsea in their next game, which means that Eddie Howe might have a little bit more than potential relegation to worry about by the time they face Burnley on December 21st.

TM‘s Prediction

Bournemouth have been surprisingly abject, and it came to a head as they lost 1-0 to ten-man Crystal Palace. Liverpool were free-flowing against Everton, and given that this fixture has generally provided goals in the Premier League, it seems silly not to back that again.

Over 3.5 Goals - 13/10

MG’s Prediction

Liverpool’s front three are magical but only one player out of them has really shone this season for me and that is Sadio Mane, Mo Salah probably doesn’t deserve the criticism he gets and Firmino may be rested again after Origi’s heroics in the Merseyside Derby (Deja Vu anyone?). Mane to score seems like an incredible bet at this price.

Sadio Mane to score anytime - 21/20

Tottenham Hotspur Vs Burnley - Saturday 7th December (15:00)

A return to Old Trafford was never going to be easy for Jose Mourinho so he’ll be happy to be back on home turf against a Burnley side who have been fairly dire in their last two games and only won one game away from home all season. Burnley have faced 4 of the “big six” sides already this season without picking up a singular point and an aggregate goals tally of 4 goals scored and 15 conceded.

MG’s Prediction

Betting on Dele Alli’s return to form has brought me great fortune in the PL Predictions but despite scoring one of the goals of the season against Manchester United, The Red Devils still came out on top. I can’t imagine anything but a Tottenham win here. However, I know TM will go for the win & BTTS bet so I’ll go for something else.

Son Heung Min Over 0.5 assists - 5/2

TM‘s Prediction

Tottenham’s knack for conceding goals is an unfortunate problem that Jose Mourinho has inherited, costing them in their game at Old Trafford. Burnley, however, have now lost all four of their matches against the established top six this season, but they’ve scored in three of them. I can see them doing the same here.

Tottenham to Win & BTTS - 33/20

Watford Vs Crystal Palace - Saturday 7th December (15:00)

We hate to use the term “can’t afford to lose” before Christmas because anything can happen but if Watford can’t bounce back soon their Premier League status may as well be gone and we believe it might take a miracle for them to stay up. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are flying high after a remarkable win against Bournemouth in midweek, they were down to ten, without the majority of their top defenders and they grinded out a great win against the Cherries.

TM‘s Prediction

Watford displayed a spirited performance away at Leicester on Wednesday night, but as with most of their “spirited performances”, it came undone in the end. Crystal Palace will surely be confident as they make the relatively short journey from Croydon to Hertfordshire.

Crystal Palace to Win - 43/20

MG’s Prediction

This is the kind of game that Watford could win. However, I don’t think they will. They’ve let themselves down by drawing too many games this season and Palace will probably accept a draw, which in my opinion means that this will probably end 1-1. But I’m not overly confident about either side offensively, so I’ll just go with this.

Draw 47/20

Manchester City Vs Manchester United - Saturday 7th December (17:30)

The Manchester Derby seems to have a different face every single year. 2019 is the year of Pep Guardiola’s title-chasing candidates against Ole-Gunnar Solsjkaer’s top six chasers. Manchester City won’t admit the title is out of their reach but if you’re being realistic, it’s Liverpool’s title to lose. Meanwhile, Ole bought himself more time with an impressive win in midweek against Tottenham.

MG’s Prediction

I’m going to take a bit of a risk here because I’m not sure I can see Manchester United getting a draw or winning but I do think one particular player will score and at 12/5 to score anytime, I just couldn’t resist.

Marcus Rashford to score anytime - 12/5

TM‘s Prediction

Manchester United are unbeaten against their top six opponents this season, having beaten Chelsea and Tottenham, and drawn against Arsenal and Liverpool. Manchester City, meanwhile, had been playing some sloppy football before their demolition of Burnley. I think City will win, but United will restrict them.

Under 2.5 Goals - 31/20

Aston Villa Vs Leicester City - Sunday 8th December (14:00)

Aston Villa are in fairly good form recently. Not as good as Leicester City but they’ve done enough to keep themselves out of the relegation conversation so far this season. A dramatic win against Everton and their win against Watford has just demonstrated the attributes a team requires for a title fight and make no mistake, if anyone is going to give Liverpool a challenge for the title this season - It’s Leicester City.

TM‘s Prediction

Leicester took a while to finally see off both Watford and Everton, and I can genuinely see them being held by an Aston Villa side that have created problems for other sides towards the top of the table this season. I’d hate to back a draw and see a win though, so I’ll go for a double chance.

Double Chance: Aston Villa or Draw - 21/20

MG’s Prediction

The Vardy Party is rolling into the Midlands this weekend and I’m firmly on the bandwagon. Unfortunately, Vardy to score anytime has no value this week so I’ll go for a different option.

Half Time Draw, Full Time Leicester = 15/4

Newcastle United Vs Southampton - Sunday 8th December (14:00)

We simply can’t predict Newcastle United, as soon as you expect something, they do the opposite and quite frankly we love watching them. It’s intriguing to watch sides try and break them down and get hit on the counter attack. This weekend they take on a side who haven’t kept a clean sheet at St James’ Park since 1997 with the Magpies winning 3-0 and 3-1 in this fixture in the last two seasons. That being said, the Saints are hitting form at a good time and could move out of the bottom three for the first time since week nine. The side that replaced them? Newcastle United.

MG’s Prediction

It’s been a fantastic week so far for Newcastle United with a great draw against Manchester City followed up by a fantastic win at Bramall Lane in midweek. Newcastle draw a lot of their home games and have only won twice at St James’ this season, my betting philosophy is never bet on Newcastle United but I’m going to go against it here.

Newcastle United to win - 8/5

TM‘s Prediction

Newcastle have been highly unpredictable this season, looking the finished article in some matches, and woeful in others. Southampton have been improving, albeit slowly, but if they are to get anything at St James’ Park in this one, then it’s bound to involve Danny Ings in some way.

Danny Ings to Score Anytime - 13/10

Norwich City Vs Sheffield United - Sunday 8th December (14:00)

Sheffield United are one of the only sides in the Premier League unbeaten away from home. The other is Liverpool, so on paper, you would believe that Sheffield United are the favourites for this one and considering Norwich failed to beat Chris Wilders men in both fixtures last season, you could be forgiven for backing an away win here. However, after a disappointing defeat at home to Newcastle in midweek, Norwich will fancy their chances here.

TM‘s Prediction

Norwich seem to have been revitalised since the international break. Despite losing 2-1 to Southampton, they’ve put in some better performances against Everton and Arsenal, and crucially Teemu Pukki’s back on the scoresheet. Sheffield United are a good side though, but their loss to Newcastle will have deflated them, and I can see this one adding to their growing catalogue of draws this season.

Draw - 51/20

MG’s Prediction

Annoyingly, I agree with everything TM said and I also agree that this will end in a draw. However, there’s no way both these sides are keeping a clean sheet, so I’ll go with this.

Draw with Goals - 3/1

Brighton & Hove Albion Vs Wolves - Sunday 8th December (16:30)

Both these sides picked up great wins against out of form opposition in midweek. However, Brighton’s was probably unexpected whilst Wolves seemed like a guaranteed win. This is one that could go either way and we at will be shocked if this is a dull game. We might be expecting 4/5 goals but we are expecting some fantastic end to end action.

MG’s Prediction

Fixtures like this is where playing Europa League Football is actually beneficial, for Brighton playing midweek then at the weekend is something they’ve obviously done before but they might have to adjust. Meanwhile, Wolves have done this all season and I expect that to show here but I do think that Brighton will hold out for a draw.

Draw with Goals - 33/10

TM‘s Prediction

Brighton are yet another side who look capable of providing a shock on their day, as they proved with their win over Tottenham in October, and their win at Arsenal on Thursday. That said, they’ll need to start stringing results together before the relegation zone develops a taste for seagulls. I think they’ll score, but Wolves will nullify any positives.

Both Teams to Score: Yes - 20/21

West Ham United Vs Arsenal - Monday 9th December (20:00)

We asked the question over whether West Ham could possibly be turning a corner after their 0-1 win against Chelsea and Wednesday night left us with more questions than answers. The Hammers have picked up just one point from their last four games at the London Stadium and we believe that if they don’t pick up a win in their next three West Ham fans might become very restless. Let’s just hope no fans try to put the corner flag in the centre circle again.

TM‘s Prediction

West Ham’s win at Chelsea was desperately required, but their defeat to Wolves has ensured the pressure remains on Manuel Pellegrini. One point from four home games will also be a concern. They welcome an Arsenal side that are still adjusting to Freddie Ljungberg’s interim tactics, and who have struggled on their last three trips to the London Stadium. I can see a stalemate here.

Draw - 53/20

MG’s Prediction

Arsenal fans will be starting to miss Emery soon and Monday Night could be a very bad evening. The Hammers will be looking to bounce back here and I believe that we’ll see a dominant performance as they condemn Arsenal to another defeat.
