NFL Gameweek 6 Predictions
As we enter week 6, and the halfway point for the centenary season of the NFL, the food-chain appears to be a little more defined, making our predictions here at 21.co.uk a little easier. If it seems like the schedule is slightly lighter than usual, that is because it’s the first week where more than two teams are out on their byes - with the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders all enjoying a mid-season break from the NFL action. However, there’s still plenty to look forward to this week, with a number of games which should display an interesting turn-out.

Miami Dolphins vs Washington Redskins
It’s no secret that the Miami Dolphins have a reputation for being one of the worst teams in the NFL, but it seems they have some competition this season in the form of the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are yet to win a game this season and, unfortunately for Dol-fans, they might just have a chance up against Miami on Sunday. At this point, the Dolphins are a shoo-in to be the team securing the No.1 pick in the 2020 draft, with them being due to face all three of the other winless teams (Jets, Redskins and Bengals) - but if Brian Flores is feeling fresh off the back of a bye week and able to make up an extremely strong game plan for Sunday and Josh Rosen tightens up his game, Miami may be in with a chance of pulling ahead of the Redskins and away from that 2020 draft first pick standing. It will certainly be interesting to see which team comes out on top when this game plays out.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers
Tampa Bay and Carolina make up the teams playing in the second instalment of the NFL International Series in London this week and we’re excited to see how they both fair in their debut at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite the absence of franchise quarterback, Cam Newton, there’s a positive air surrounding the Panthers this season, and they are considered the solid favourites to win over the Buccaneers this weekend. While Tampa Bay are no push-overs, Carolina has built up some steady and strong momentum coming into this game, which stems from the solid run they have made so far this season. Additionally, they also have one of the league’s most stirring running backs, Christian McCaffrey, carrying their offence this year.
There’s a massive chance for the Panthers to make their three-game winning streak into four. If they can keep the Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston off his game and get their running game going, there is almost no way for Tampa Bay to get comfortable across the pond in London.
Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers
If you plan on only watching one game this weekend, we recommend you make it this one. This game stands as one of the most exciting play-outs of the week, potentially holding some big implications for this season’s playoffs.
Usually, it would be easy for us to make a call for Sean McVay to dial up some redemption for the Rams, but with the 49ers fresh off a brutal 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in week 5, Los Angeles may have a strong fight on their hands for this week 6 win. If the Niners are able to go after Jared Goff anywhere near as close as they did Baker Mayfield, they’re sure to secure the win hands down.
